Lakeshore
Microboost, Inc. and the City of Saugatuck are now
offering all City taxpayers a new service of free
disposal for resident yard waste and brush for eco
friendly composting. Take 63rd St. to White Horse
Lane and head east to the first asphalt drive on
the left, then follow it to the drop off location.
Open hours are 9 am - 5 pm Monday thru Friday and
Saturdays from 10 am - 2 pm. Taxpayers now have
the option for disposing lawn clippings, leaves
and smaller brush items at no cost in between regualr
City pickup dates. Owner & operator John Huyge
uses the compost material in a process to make "green"
fertilizers and bio stimulants that come in liquid
form and contain high concentrations of beneficial
microorganisms that actively rejuvenate soils and
lawns. It can be used effectively to reduce the
use of harmful chemicals, lessen watering, increase
disease resistance, and repel insect pests like
Japanese Beatles & Mosquitoes.
Please
