City of Saugatuck Takes Steps to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19

11/16/2020

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – (City of Saugatuck, Allegan County, Michigan) November 16, 2020 – On Sunday, November 15, 2020, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) issued a new epidemic order that prohibits most “gatherings” and places significant restrictions on in-person office operations. Due to these restrictions and out of an abundance of caution, the Saugatuck City Hall will be closed temporarily starting on Monday, November 16, 2020 at 12:01 AM through December 8, 2020 at 11:59 PM to limit the spread of the outbreak.
Please visit www.michigan.gov/coronavirus for more information about the new epidemic order.

While our methods of interaction will change temporarily, our commitment to the residents of the City of Saugatuck remains steadfast. During this time, all customer service requests will be handled via remote telephone or email correspondence. Please call 269-857-2603 or email  citymanager@saugatuckcity.com for service; staff will be glad to assist you. If you call the office, please leave a voicemail. The voicemail box will be checked regularly. The City stives to continue to provide the high-level service residents have come to expect.
This is an unprecedented public health situation and remains extremely fluid. The City will continue to evaluate options for office operations and public meetings as we receive additional information and further guidance from federal, state, and local officials. Please visit www.saugatuckcity.com or follow the City on Facebook for updates. Additionally, please visit the following websites for up-to-date information regarding the ongoing public health crisis:
