TRI-COMMUNITY WILDLIFE COMMITTEE

Our mission is to discover appropriate ways to maintain a healthy balance In our wildlife populations of our communities and make recommendations to the councils of the City of Douglas, Saugatuck Township, and the City of Saugatuck.

The Tri-Community Wildlife Committee will no longer have scheduled meetings as of December 2025.

The purpose of this committee is to manage deer and other wildlife populations within the tri-community area and make recommendations for potential culling during hunting seasons. The committee was formed with representatives from each community and citizen members with relevant expertise. Regular and special meetings will be held to discuss wildlife management issues. The committee will be responsible for evaluating wildlife populations, developing management strategies, and making recommendations to the respective councils and boards. The have the power to request data, and collaborate with wildlife authorities, and make recommendations.
